Requirements

Class

All dancers must come to class in comfortable clothes that they can move in (no jeans). Hair needs to be pulled back and out of their face. They should bring water and the required shoes for their class.

• Ballet: pink or black ballet shoes

• Jazz: black or tan jazz shoes

• Tap: black or tan tap shoes

• Modern: socks or dance paws optional, tights must be footless or convertible

• Hip Hop: clean sneakers or jazz shoes

If your child is in the beginners combo class that they are only required to have either ballet OR jazz shoes as well as tap. 

Recital 

Dance Steps Studio provides simple costumes for the recital to be returned directly after. Girls are required to have a pink or black leotard; pink, black or nude tights; their usual dance shoes; and pulled back hair. Boys are required to have black pants, white T-shirt, and their usual dance shoes. They are required to wear these for photo day, rehearsal day, and the recital.
